It seems like scientists never run out of ways to say that water is good for us, but the truth is, many of us hate drinking the stuff. It doesn’t matter: drink the water. Experts have studied the effectiveness of drinking water and the results are clear: water helps you. Not only does our body need water to flush out toxins, but it also aids in our mental processes, digestion, hormone regulation, mood and more. After all, our bodies are 60% water, so we need to keep hydrated!

Action Tip: Start the day with a glass of water, because it helps you wake up and jump start your metabolism. If you don’t like plain water, add a little bit of flavoring with lemon, or infuse your water with strawberry or another fruit. Second, drink a glass of water 30 minutes before a meal, because it will help you feel full faster. Lastly, if approved by your doctor, drink a glass of water before bed.
